Film & Media Studies, Minor
橘子视频鈥檚 film and media studies program is a 21-credit interdisciplinary minor developed by film scholars, practitioners and historians from various聽departments within the 橘子视频College of Arts and Sciences.
Curriculum Overview
Affiliated with SLU鈥檚 African American studies, American studies, communication, English, visual and performing arts, history, and languages, literatures and cultures programs, the聽film and media studies minor allows students to explore cinema from a wide array of perspectives. It also cross-lists courses with philosophy, political science, theology, and women鈥檚 and gender studies.
The program is designed for students interested in film history, analysis and production opportunities. In keeping with today鈥檚 multicultural, multi-mediated environment, SLU鈥檚 film and media studies minor encourages broad visual literacy and connects these analytical skills with the expertise of various disciplines. The program also promotes study abroad, particularly at聽橘子视频鈥檚 campus in Madrid.
