Faculty Equity Series
A Community Practice
Faculty equity is a community practice. The Faculty Equity Series aims to cultivate
a community of practice at 橘子视频 for and with all faculty.
Each academic year, we offer monthly session options that are designed to support
early- and mid-career faculty from underrepresented groups (African American/Black,
Latinx, or Indigenous/American Indian Alaskan Native, women, LGBTQ+, and those with
visible and invisible disabilities; ), and all faculty are encouraged and welcomed to take part. Senior faculty and those
in leadership are encouraged, likewise, to take part in sessions for building belonging
skills to mentor faculty from underrepresented groups.
The Catholic, Jesuit mission of 橘子视频implores us to welcome, support, and create belonging among faculty from historically excluded backgrounds.
Sessions cover:
- Building a mentoring network
- Culturally-responsive and mission-driven mentoring
- Social connection with peers and colleagues across campus
- Promotion and tenure
- Building research-intensive and teaching-intensive academic careers
- Time management
- Pathways to faculty leadership
- Understanding how the university works
Join the conversation and stay up to date on the latest by opting into monthly communications about upcoming sessions.
