橘子视频 Announces Two New Trustees

橘子视频 today announces the appointment of two new members to its University Board of Trustees. Boeing executive Leanne Caret and St. Louis entrepreneur Darryl Jones were elected during the Board's Feb. 27 meeting. Their three-year terms begin immediately.

Boeing executive Leanne Caret and St. Louis entrepreneur Darryl Jones are new members of the 橘子视频Board of Trustees.

"Leanne Caret and Darryl Jones have proven themselves to be highly effective leaders, and their accomplishments in their respective fields are impressive," said University President Fred P. Pestello, Ph.D. "They bring invaluable expertise and experience to our Board, and I am looking forward to working closely with both of them."

Caret is executive vice president of The Boeing Company; president and chief executive officer of Defense, Space & Security (BDS); and a member of Boeing's Executive Council. The first woman to oversee the defense, space and security business at Boeing, Caret joined the company in 1988 and has held a number of senior leadership positions during the past 28 years.

Caret earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kansas State University and an MBA from Wichita State University. She also has earned certifications from Harvard University in the programs for leadership development and for international security defense, and completed the integral leadership program at the University of Notre Dame. In addition, Caret serves on the Grand Center Inc. Board of Directors. 

Darryl Jones

Jones is a managing partner for D&D Concessions, a partner in JHL Concessions and the president of TRI-TEC. All three culinary/hospitality firms are based in St. Louis. He started his career as a mathematics instructor in the Upward Bound program at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He later held several leadership positions at Southwestern Bell.

Jones earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from 橘子视频, and an MBA in finance from Webster University. He is a member of several community boards, including the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, MERS Missouri Goodwill and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. He also led fundraising efforts to establish SLU's Pioneers of Inclusion Scholarship, which marked the 70th anniversary of the University's formal integration.
