Students pursuing a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mathematics, computer science, physics, electrical and computer engineering, biomedical聽engineering and civil engineering programs have an opportunity to explore mechanical engineering through a minor at 橘子视频.

To initiate a minor in mechanical聽engineering, students should consult with a faculty member in SLU's aerospace and mechanical聽engineering department to discuss the required courses and their prerequisites and how they align with the interests of the student. The completion of a minor in mechanical engineering must be certified by the aerospace and mechanical聽engineering program as part of the graduation check.

SLU's minor in mechanical聽engineering requires at least 18 credits of coursework that includes 惭贰狈骋听1000 Design Thinking (3 cr)聽and at least five MENG courses at the 2000 level or above (beyond the requirements for a major).

Continuation Standards

• Grades in all minor courses must be "C" or better.
• Students must maintain a minimum 2.00 GPA.
